Safty Speed Detection Of Abrasive Cutting Disc

- Mar 29, 2021-

As we know , all the abrasive cutting disc and grinding wheel are made from abrasive raw material , resin bond and fiberglass nets . every customer pay more attention to the performance of abrasive products , like the sharpness character and durability character , but the safety of abrasive cutting disc is more important for every direct user.

depressed center cutting wheel

In JUMA ABRASIVE CO.,LTD , we only use one kind best strengthen fiberglass net during our production . so that we can ensure the safety character of our abrasive cutting disc and grinding wheel .

In our company , we also have strictly quality control system, including the safety speed detection of abrasive cutting disc. We will use 1.5 -2 times the safety max. using speed showed on the brand label to do detection , so that we can also ensure our products to meet European quality level .

In all, during the using process , never over-speed a grinding wheel and cutting disc. The speed of the grinder must be compared to the speed marked on the wheel or package to make sure the machine’s speed is at or below the maximum operating speed of the wheel.

For example, operating a reinforced, 9-inch diameter, Type 27 wheel rated for a maximum speed of 6,600 rpm on a 7-inch angle grinder with a speed of 7,700 rpm can cause the wheel to crack.

So the direct user must use the cutting disc and grinding wheel on the right angle grinder to make sure the machine’s speed is at or below the maximum operating speed of the wheel.

Safety considerations during the grinding wheel and cutting disc using process ( as follows)

Cut-off and Grinding disc Requirements

(a) Hold machine firmly.

(b) Secure work piece tightly.

(c) Avoid side pressure when cutting.

(d) Do not use cutting disc for grinding.

(e) When grinding approach work piece at correct angle.

(f) When cutting always cut in a straight line. Do not try and cut curves.

(g) Make sure guard is in correct position.

(h) Make sure abrasive discs are mounted correctly and are tightly held.

(i) Make sure the set of flanges used are free form damage and are the correct matching set for the machine being used.

(j) After switching off machine make sure the rotation has stopped before putting machine down.

ALWAYS

·Store discs in a clean and dry area.

·Inspect discs enforce using.

·Compare maximum disc and machine speeds.

·Start cut gently.

·Wear goggles and masks.

NEVER

·Use a damaged disc.

·Force disc to fit machine.

·Exceed maximum disc operating speed.

·Use cut-off disc for grinding.

·Over tighten locking flange.

·Use machine without correctly fitted guard.

·Force disc into work piece before starting machine

Never Put machine down before rotation has stopped.
